Glenn spent his first seven years in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in a loving home with supportive, enthusiastic parents. At the age of seven his family moved to the country north of Toronto, to a town called Nobleton. Glenn’s parents, Harry and Marlene Loft, shared the great cottage life in a watery cove, in a place named Skeleton Bay in the Ontario Muskoka region in Northern Ontario. Summer camp came yearly for this eager beaver and included fishing, sailing and swimming, while winters were spent playing hockey and figure skating. All of these activities along with the beautiful rolling hills and farmlands that surrounded his family’s country home contributed to a healthy, happy childhood. Glenn enjoyed many evenings around the campfire with family and friends, singing and playing guitar for hours in many of the Canada’s great Provincial Parks. He sang in the local schools with his guitar and shared his musical enthusiasm with his peers and graduating grade eight class in Bolton, Ontario. While singing and playing locally, he developed his musical skills, thanks to his father’s support. Glenn enjoyed success in the business world where his determination and work ethic were soon recognized. A career in the audio visual community, the automotive sales and corporate finance world eventually lead him to form his own research and development consulting corporation. Glenn found his first great love at thirty years of age. This experience helped open his heart and mind to putting thought and feeling to words and music and his songwriting became more intimately expressive. During this time Glenn moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, where he founded his first band. His new music friends kick-started a more professional approach to performing live. Glenn and his associates had their first major gig at a local car show, where the organizers offered them the main stage with an invitation to entertain the crowds for that day. With his first professional performance under his belt, Glenn realized there were even greater challenges to undertake and began collaborating in the organization of a much larger musical event – an outdoor weekend, with the gathering of performers, musicians and crowds. He took the helm for both the production and organization of the event at the MountCurrie Rodeo grounds, just north of Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. This new, exciting collaboration culminated in the inaugural Pemberton Mountain Music Festival. Right after the Pemberton Festival experience, Glenn helped engineer and produce his first album in cooperation with his good friend Rob James in Rob’s recording studio in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. Rob’s professional experience in dealing with top recording artists and international performers continues to make a great difference in Glenn’s musical expression. Today, while focused on his musical development, Glenn is also focused on his spiritual life and living a healthy lifestyle, while giving back to his community. He volunteers in various societies raising money for the underprivileged. Glenn carries a message of Faith, Hope and Love with his voice to many listeners, including the less fortunate. He has faith in his career in music as both a composer and performer. With the support of many friends Glenn has already composed enough music for six complete albums. As for this Sheep Dog? Glenn enjoys his moment under the light. His journey continues to gather us all up in unity, with his powerful voice, musical gift and talents. Currently and always, Glenn remains in a state of grace with gratitude and humility for all his life experiences thus far.
