Music Marketing

• Creative – dream up exciting and scalable ways to promote our partners’ music to the right audiences, creating initiatives and cross promotions together with existing partners to increase their market share on CanadianMusicians.com as well as generate PR buzz for CanadianMusicians.com. Work with the advertising sales team to create music sponsorship opportunities. Regularly communicate the status of artist campaigns, new initiatives and other account activity to the labels and other teams;
• Co-promotions – discuss and agree on co-promotion deals with partners that are mutually beneficial and have the company’s best interests in mind;
• Execute – manage all aspects of the promotions, logistical talent as well as people management skills.
• Promotions – music marketing initiatives tailored to the needs of the individual partner as further explained under the following point plus looking after the advertising allocation and managing process with partner, liaising with the internal teams like trafficking and legal;
• Internal Relations - develop strong relationships across multiple areas within the various teams, including content/editorial, product marketing, sponsorship, operations and reporting.

Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist will improve member engagement and retention through a strategic focus and successful management of social media and content for CanadianMusicians.com. This role will improve member engagement and retention and ensure that value is maximized by distributing content through all relevant communications channels. In addition, this position will be the subject matter expert for social media within Canadian music and its realted industry and is the representative within corporate committees with respect to social media. The ideal candidate actively participates in the social media space and is an embassador for the power and consumer engagement that can be harnessed through social media channels.


Key Accountabilities:
• Develops, integrates and implements social media strategy for CanadianMusicians.com and suggests new methods/channels to leverage social media.
• Monitors the development of new social media tools, strategies and campaigns and recommends CanadianMusicians participation in these new developments.
• Leverages key strategies to increase the number of social media followers and retains and engages members once acquired.
• Manages daily social media updates and responds to member queries and comments.
• Participates in the development of the CanadianMusicians brand ‘tone of voice’ and personality.
• Engages with CanadianMusicians.com members to build relationships, create member focused content, and develop members stories and marketing strategies to be used within all social media channels as well as on CanadianMusicians.com.
• Collaborates with the web production team to ensure content is being uploaded and optimised on CanadianMusicians.com.
• Manages relationships with agencies and contributors and works with existing partners to leverage content where applicable.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience
• The knowledge and skills for this position would typically be acquired through a diploma or degree in a business discipline such as marketing and/or social media.

Marketing Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our Marketing/Product team. This is an exciting and creative role working in the music entertainment space.

Main purpose of the job
Develop and grow CanadianMusicians.com’s marketing team and oversee the execution of all consumer, industry and sales marketing activities.

• Develop market awareness and drive audience growth for CanadianMusicians.com in core markets while balancing the requirements of a global brand
• Clarify and maintain a strong brand voice for CanadianMusicians.com

You will join the Web team, which is responsible for building and maintaining the web site, mobile site and web services. We are a mixture of back-end and front-end developers and collaborate closely with everyone in the company - from product, design and support, through to the infrastructure and commercial teams.

You will:

Technology Development Operations Engineer

Purpose Of Role
CanadianMusicians.com is looking for a DevOps engineer to join our team. You'll be working on gluing together the numerous components (both in-house and open-source) that keep CanadianMusicians.com running.

You'll be familiar with a variety of languages, and collaborate with people across all the tech teams at CanadianMusicians.com. This will involve having input into architecture and software decisions, and contributing ideas and code, both to in-house projects, and to the pieces of open source infrastructure in use at CanadianMusicians.com

Digital Sales Account Manager

Purpose of Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Account Manager to join our expanding commercial team. This is an exciting and varied creative solution selling role working in the music entertainment space with some of the globes top brand advertisers. You will be required to develop, nurture and manage relationships with key agencies (planning/buying, creative and digital, sponsorship and PR) as well as work with clients direct so as to achieve budgeted revenue targets from new and existing accounts.

The right person will not only be a great relationship builder with strong contacts in the media industry, but also have strong integrated solution and sponsorship selling experience and be able to bring together online, social and live/experiential components to deliver outstanding client results.

Working as a team member you’ll co-ordinate closely with the project manager and ad ops team to provide the highest levels of client service by overseeing campaigns from sign off to campaign finish.

You will be an enthusiastic and digitally savvy person who is driven, sociable, confident, and has a flair for engaging with key decision makers. At least 2-3 years online advertising experience is essential, preferably working on creative and integrated advertising solutions.
